Privacy policy

TryCheer.fun is a program of Cheer Ambassadors, LLC, a 501(c)(3) non-profit (EIN 99-4362458) that advocates for cheerleading athletes. We take the privacy of families, and especially children, seriously.

What we collect

Only what you type into the TryCheer form: the athlete's first name, a parent or guardian's email, a ZIP code and an age group. The form is for parents and guardians; we don't knowingly collect information directly from children, consistent with the Children's Online Privacy Protection Act (COPPA).

If you use our other TryCheer forms, we also keep what you type there:

• Recommend a gym: the gym's name, city, state, website and any contact you give us, and your own name, email and gym. We use it only to invite that gym to become a TryCheer partner.
• Report an accident or incident: the reporter's name, role, email and phone, the gym, and what happened, including the athlete's age group and any injury or medical care. We use it to follow up on safety. It may be shared with the appropriate authorities when a child's safety may be at risk or when the law requires it, and it's kept as long as needed for safety and legal records.

This site sets no tracking cookies and doesn't store IP addresses with your request. Our forms use Cloudflare Turnstile, a check that tells people from automated spam; Cloudflare processes technical details about your browser for that check, under its own privacy policy.

We count visits ourselves (no outside analytics company): the page, the site you came from, your country and state or region, device and browser type, and how long the page was open. No IP address and no cookie is stored for this, so a visit can't be tied to you, and browsers that send "Do Not Track" or "Global Privacy Control" aren't counted. These records are kept for up to 400 days.

How we use it

• To email your TryCheer pass code and suggest TryCheer partner gyms near your ZIP code.
• To answer you if you contact us.

We don't sell, trade or rent your information. We don't send your details to gyms; you choose which gym to contact.

Keeping and deleting it

We keep pass requests and gym recommendations for up to 2 years to run the program, then delete them. To see or delete your information at any time, use our contact form.

Partner gyms

TryCheer partner gyms are independent businesses with their own policies. Cheer Ambassadors acts in a referral capacity only.
